The show will feature three bands. We go on second.
First up will be YARD SALE. Yard Sale is a threesome acoustic girl group "who play a thrift store mix of pop, folk, and country music on accordion, acoustic guitar and bass. All three members sing and write songs. Influences include the Carter Family, Nick Lowe, Dolly Parton and 1960's pop/folk/rock." Members include Melanie De Giovanni (accordion) who has played in such bands as the Catheads, Donner Party, Harm Farm, Barbara Manning, John Wesley Harding and Mare Winningham; Jill Olson (bass) who currently plays with Red Meat, was in the Movie Stars, and also played with John Wesley Harding and Mare Winningham and lastly there is Denise Funari (guitar) who has played in numerous folk groups in the Bay Area. Second up will be the NAKED BARBIES. The Barbies have been playing in the Bay Area since 1990. They have opened for Third Eye Blind, Cake, Train, Jonathan Richman, Chris Isaak, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Guy Clark and many more and were named Best Americana Band by SF Weekly in the late-1990ies. They have released 5 CD's and their music has been featured on the BBC show "Personal Affairs" and "Dawson's Creek". This is a rare reunion show with appearances by original guitarist Dan Vickrey, who is now with the Counting Crows.

Finally, the TENDER MERCIES will be closing -- which consists of Patrick Winningham, Kurt Stevens and Dan Vickrey, who is currently the Counting Crows guitarist and is also the former guitarist for the Naked Barbies. There is no website for the Tender Mercies, but Patrick Winningham has a Myspace.
